One final note on the most devastating abuse of all: Psychological or Spiritual. They are separate and distinct.

Psychology today is nearly a religion in itself. It is, like religion; based on its own internal belief system. If a perpetrator who knows psychology and believes in its precepts - uses that truth against a person who also believes in its truths; the result is very devasting.

Let me give you an example: If you believe the one person in all the world you trust the most tells you something about yourself, you believe them, right? What if they tell you the only way you will ever be happy is to commit suicide? What then? Do you believe them? If your psyche says they are wrong, then what happens to all the other 'truths' they have given you. Are they then true, or false? You see, when anyone no longer accepts the 'truth' of what a loved one tells them, the whole house of cards comes falling down. Whether true or not, one lie makes all of those things said to you by that person - a lie. This causes one of the greatest conflicts in the mind of most people, they often drink or take drugs; but some go ahead into the ultimate crime against the self - suicide.

This was graphically seen after soldiers returned home to their loved ones after the highly unpopular Vietnam War. More soldiers suicided than died in Vietnam.

Spiritual abuse is much the same as psychology, except that the spiritual abuser takes spiritual or religious concepts and gradually causes disbelief or disunity within the mind and soul of the victim until they no longer have any defense against the predator trying to destroy them. This technique is favored by those practicing 'black arts' or witchcraft. Beware of this, the 'rot' goes very deep, into the heart of the universe, not only a local cultural manifestation. It is a devastating attack, even upon one who has been trained to withstand it.
